Max Nguyen '26

Our 2025 Aequum awardee is Max Nguyen class of 2026. The Aequum foundation granted him a scholarship worth 11K to support his further academic and professional pursuits.

An ambitious, passionate, and hard-working individual, Max is driven by a profound interest in Mechatronics and Biomedical Engineering. Based off his personal journey as a wheelchair user with Cerebral Palsy and as a recent immigrant from Vietnam, he hopes to leverage technological innovation to improve the lives of people with disabilities. Outside of STEM, Max is also an aspiring musician, using his love for Ed Sheeran and his talent with the guitar to help fundraise and support organizations such as Children's National Hospital.

Next year, Max is attending the University of California, Berkeley as an Electrical & Computer Engineering major. Congrats Max!
